Lorenzo Vecchio
Born in 1981, Lorenzo Vecchio moved from Acireale to study cinema in Rome. After completing an Erasmus project in 2002, he was diagnosed with cancer. Founder member of Scarti, he passed away in May 2005. Besides a few cinema articles for the magazine “Segno”, in 2004 he published the novel Mia madre non chiude mai(earning him the Vittorini Prize for his debut work); posthumously released were his final diary Un metro lungo cinque and Cinque racconti più uno,
